Tawnee began her investment career in 1998 with Smith Barney, where she spent ten years before transitioning to UBS Financial Services. When UBS exited smaller markets in 2010, Tawnee joined Stifel, playing a key role in opening the firm’s first office on the Central Coast. Today, she continues to lead as a Senior Vice President/Investments and Branch Manager, guiding clients with expertise and dedication.
Tawnee’s values were shaped early by her father’s roots in Guam and the island culture of community, generosity, and putting others first. Growing up in a large Guamanian family, she learned the importance of caring for people, sharing what you have, and supporting one another through every stage of life. Those principles became the foundation of her passion for helping clients pursue financial security, independence, and peace of mind.
Her professional journey was equally influenced by the late Phil Cohl, who became her first mentor in the financial services industry and later a long-time business partner. Phil’s decades of experience, unwavering commitment to clients, and dedication to mentoring others left a lasting impact on Tawnee’s approach to both wealth management and client relationships. The lessons she learned from Phil, combined with the values instilled by her family, continue to guide the way she serves clients today.
With more than 25 years of experience in the investment industry, Tawnee offers the depth of knowledge and perspective that only time and dedication can provide—helping clients navigate complex financial decisions with confidence and clarity. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Western Governors University. She earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation by successfully completing Fi360’s rigorous AIF® examination, underscoring her sincere commitment to service and excellence. She also maintains Series 7, 9 & 10, 63, and 65 securities registrations, along with life, health, and variable insurance licenses, including annuities.
Tawnee is deeply engaged in her community. She has served on the board of Point San Luis Lighthouse Keepers and is a past board member of the Assistance League of San Luis Obispo. She has also served as a certified Court Appointed Special Advocate for at-risk youth. Outside the office, Tawnee loves golfing, going on camper van adventures with her husband, and spending quality time with her two children, Madalyn and Patrick Jr.
Tina was born and raised in Southern California. She attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, and earned a degree in American Studies. Following school she worked for 15 years as a Design/Sales Consultant for a luxury ceramic tile and stone showroom in Denver, Colorado. Returning to California in 2011, she became a successful entrepreneur, operating her own restaurant in Templeton, California, for nine years. She enjoys the challenge of developing new skills and joined the Stifel team in 2020.
Marcus joined Stifel in 2023. Originally from Chicago, he earned a B.A. in Creative Advertising from Michigan State University. Following school, he moved to San Luis Obispo, where he resides today. As he continues working in the financial services industry, he enjoys expanding his knowledge and providing top-tier service to clients. In 2025, he earned his Series 7 and 66 securities registrations.
Outside the office, Marcus is a member of the Pale Kai Outrigger Club, where he enjoys paddling with club members at Avila beach and participating in competitive races across Southern California. He also enjoys watching sports, hiking, camping, traveling, and enjoying time with friends.
Maddy was raised in San Luis Obispo, California, where she proudly attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology and Geography. Prior to joining Stifel, Maddy spent six years working in the technology industry, focusing on client relationship management and supporting teams and clients across a number of Fortune 500 organizations. Outside of the office she enjoys walking her English Bulldog, Birdie, painting and standing up Little Free Libraries in her neighborhood, and trying new recipes at home.
